“When they needed the most abundant liquid on the planet, none could be found. The prerequisite for life that washes away both the afterbirth and the pyre ashes, leads to death after three days without.”
The Price of Freedom
Writing
My goal as a storyteller is to convey humanity’s expedition as only one piece of a multi-layered ecosystem, simply sharing a space of life on our planet. I rely on my diverse range of work experience and educational pursuits as my foundational muse for venturing into the world of creative writing. As a journalist, I have written hundreds of press releases, news, feature, sports and editorial articles, including publishing in the NY Times, BBC, US News and World, Report, The Christian Science Monitor, and multiple online publications, to include the Department of Defense and US Army websites.
Below is a small collection of fiction and journalism samples.
Imagery
We are all working in an ebb and flow of breath, action, desire and motivation to explore a collectively individual adventure of human existence during this life on the planet. Capturing a moment in time to tell the story of object, person or experience that evokes emotion without words is my goal as a photographer.
About
As a geographer by degree and observer of humanity through curiosity, I see the world through a realistic lens of optimism. Having served 15 years in the US Army as a photojournalist and medic, I have developed a global perspective on the human experience that has shown me more commonalities than differences between us all. I am drawn to engage in cross-cultural dialogue to explore how we can propel our individual intentions to collectively exist and thrive on the planet.
